Community

HellermannTyton recognises the significance of local communities and through our Charitable Donations Policy we strive to be a responsible partner in the communities in which we operate.
We encourage all our businesses to support the particular needs of their communities by contributing to local charities and community initiatives. Support takes the form of employee time and skills, gifts in kind and cash donations.

In 2007, our employees participated in fund raising activities for local charities and continued to support the communities within which we operate by volunteering their time to various programmes.  For example, HT Germany entered a team for the first Lippman+Rau Foundation cycling marathon in aid of music research and arts education.  HT Data employees participated in Sports Relief and Cancer Research Pink Day.  In the USA, our employees supported charitable causes through donations to the Toys-for-Tots programme and the American Heart Association.  HT USA also contributes to the community by offering internships and apprenticeships through local schools and colleges.  HT Brazil participated in an educational programme called Youths Building Citizenship.  This programme aims to give young people the tools, guidance and self-confidence to become responsible citizens by preventing crime, violence and drug abuse.

By encouraging our employees to become involved in fund raising activities for local concerns and community initiatives HellermannTyton continues to support all our employees and businesses in finding ways of helping their communities.
