Edge protection refers to the practice of adding protective measures to the edges of objects to prevent damage, wear, or injury. It cushions impacts, reduces abrasion, and enhances safety in various applications. EdgeGuard is used to cover panel edging to prevent chafing and provides an attractive finish. Flexiform grommet strips are used to protect cables and wires routed through sharp-edged cutout sections. They can be applied without adhesive and are available in different materials: Polyethylene (Flexiform G51P) for general edge protection, PA6 (Flexiform G51N) offering very good abrasion resistance and PTFE (Flexiform G51T) with high resistance to temperature and chemicals. Flexiform edge protection as well as EdgeGuard are available in various sizes and colours.
