Application	Cable harnesses, which, in the automotive industry among others, are to be routed from the engine compartment into the passenger compartment, require a secure seal against moisture penetration into the interior compartment.
Application Method	A great advantage of EMB is its "cold process". The individual wires and cables of a cable harness are placed between two or more pre-cutted layers of EMB . An unlimited number of wires can be processed by this sandwich-type construction. A grommet is then put over the moisture sealed wire bundle and placed in the dash. The employment of an assembly block with distance pins is recommended. These pins provide for the uniform distribution of the lines on the EMB and, with that, uniform sealing.
